Religious culture is urgent and must be created educational institutions because educational institutions are one of the institutions that transform value or carry out value education. Through religious extracurriculars implemented in institutions they hope that students can anticipate the negative impacts resultingfrom increasingly development times. This research is qualitative research, data was analyzed using descriptive methods adapted to the NU 1 Babat Vocational School institution. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the research, firstly, are the formulation of the school principal’s strategy in shaping the religious character of student through religious extracurriculars, namely by implementing several types of religious extracurriculars, namely: a. habituation program, getting used to praying duha prayers in congregation, praying together before and after learning, and saying and answering greetings. b. Al-Qur’an reading and writing activities and memorization, c. hadrah or tambourine and d. activities to commemorate islamic holiday (PHBI). Implementation of the principal’s strategy in shaping the religious character of student through religious extracurriculars, namely students carring out what has been formed and implemented by the principal using several methods, namely habituation, example, drill, and man thah and advice. Evaluation of the principal’s strategy in forming student’s religious character through religious extracurriculars, namely by actively participating in activities and attendance for the Al-Qur’an reading and writing program. Second, the factors that influence the principal’s strategy in forming students religious character through religious extracurriculars, namely supporting factors are supervision from teacer and school principals, and adequate facilities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in forming students reigious character are excessive use of cellphones at home, lack of awareness of students self-awareness, and skipping school.
