Abstract

The development of education in Indonesia has never been separated from curriculum updates,in each period the curriculum always undergoes an evaluation process. As a country that continues to innovate in curriculum development,independent learning,school principals have a role in driving a student centered learning process and providing freedom of work for students and freedom of work for educators. The source of the big problems that occur in education is that there are still many teachers who do not participate in guiding students to explore the digital world. Meanwhile, changes in globalization and changes in technology also have positive and negative impacts on students. IT based learning that is realized with the independent curriculum is an example of a learning system that answers the challenges of the times
