In order to create a superior and quality educational institution, this cannot be separated from the role of a madrasa head. Madrasah heads have an important role in coordinating education and encouraging the implementation of the madrasah's vision and mission. Good teacher performance is something that is highly expected by both institutions and students. Good teacher performance is also influenced by the competence they have. This research aims to answer the problem formulation: 1. What is the strategy of the madrasa head in improving the performance of teaching staff at MTs Miftahul Huda Baureno Bojonegoro? 2. What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the madrasa head in improving the performance of teaching staff at MTs Miftahul Huda Baureno Bojonegoro? This type of research includes qualitative research, which produces data and is analyzed using descriptive methods adapted to the MTs Miftahul Huda Baureno Bojonegoro institution. Data collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. From the research results, it can be seen that the madrasa head's strategy in improving the performance of teaching staff has had a very positive impact on the performance of teaching staff at MTs Miftahul Huda, Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency. The implementation of the strategy is going well, this can be seen from the strategy the madrasa head uses to improve performance. teaching staff is a facilitative strategy. The facilitative strategy involves the head of the madrasah as a facilitator or person who facilitates all the needs needed to support improving the performance of teaching staff. The supporting factors for the madrasa head's strategy in improving the performance of teaching staff at MTs Miftahul Huda, Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency, arise from individual factors, psychological factors and organizational factors. And the factors that hinder the madrasa head's strategy in improving the performance of teaching staff arise from internal and external factors. Internal factors arise from the teaching staff themselves, while external factors arise due to the influence of the surrounding environment
