Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kepribadian proaktif terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa magang. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah tantangan transisi dari pendidikan tinggi ke dunia kerja yang memerlukan kapasitas adaptasi psikososial yang memadai. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan sampel 147 mahasiswa magang yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner PPS dan CAAS, yang telah menunjukkan reliabilitas dan validitas memadai pada penelitian sebelumnya. Analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan kepribadian proaktif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap adaptabilitas karier (R = 0,565; R² = 0,319; p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan bahwa 31,9% variasi adaptabilitas karier dapat dijelaskan oleh kepribadian proaktif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa mahasiswa dengan tingkat proaktivitas lebih tinggi cenderung lebih mampu menghadapi tantangan, menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan profesional, dan mengelola transisi karier secara efektif. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini adalah perlunya perguruan tinggi mengembangkan program pembinaan yang menstimulasi perilaku proaktif untuk meningkatkan kesiapan adaptif mahasiswa menghadapi dunia kerja.
