Research Misconduct Policy
Ummul Qura: Journal of the Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School Institute (INSUD) Lamongan is committed to upholding research integrity and publication ethics and adheres to established principles of publication ethics.
Research misconduct includes actions that violate the integrity of research and scholarly publishing, including fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, data manipulation, image manipulation, duplicate publication, redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, and other forms of academic misconduct.
Any suspected research misconduct or publication misconduct related to a manuscript or published article may be reported to the Editor-in-Chief through the journal’s official contact channels.
All allegations will be handled objectively, confidentially, and proportionately. The editors may request clarification from authors, reviewers, or other relevant parties and may request supporting documents or information necessary to conduct an investigation.
If the alleged misconduct is substantiated, the journal may take appropriate editorial action, including requesting corrections, issuing an expression of concern, retracting the article, or taking other measures in accordance with the severity of the violation.
In handling cases of research misconduct, Ummul Qura follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and best practices in scholarly publication integrity.
The journal has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or any other actions that may compromise the integrity of the scholarly record.
