AUTHOR GUIDELINES

General Requirements

  1. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Manuscripts must be submitted online through the OJS portal at:
    ???? https://ejournal.insud.ac.id/index.php/uq
  3. All manuscripts will undergo the following process:
  • Initial screening for format compliance and similarity check using Ithenticate;
  • Peer review by qualified reviewers through a double-blind system;
  • Revision based on reviewers’ comments;
  • Final decision by the Editorial Board.
  1. Accepted papers for publication are subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC) as determined by the editorial office.

Manuscript Format and Structure

  1. Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, using A4 paper size (21 x 29.7 cm), in single column
  2. Page margins:
    • Top: 3 cm | Bottom: 2.5 cm | Left: 2.5 cm | Right: 2.5 cm
  3. Font type: Palatino Linotype
    • Title: 14 pt, Bold, Capitalize Each Word
    • Author name and affiliation: 12 pt
    • Abstract and keywords: 10 pt, Italic
    • Body text: 12 pt, single-spaced
    • Header and footer: 10 pt
  4. Paragraphs must be fully justified without indentation.
  5. Manuscript length should be 8–12 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
  6. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English.

Manuscript Components

The manuscript should include the following sections, in order:

  1. Title – Concise, clear, and informative, with a maximum of 14 words.
  2. Author’s Name(s) – Without academic titles; separated by commas (,) if more than one.
  3. Author’s Affiliation(s) – Include study program, institution, and country.
  4. Corresponding Author Email – Marked with an asterisk (*) and required phone number.
  5. Abstract – Written in English, not exceeding 250 words, using the following structured format (without subheadings):
    • Background, Purpose, Methods, Results, and
  6. Keywords – 3–5 words, separated by semicolons (;).
  1. INTRODUCTION
  • Explain background issues, research gaps, previous studies, and objectives.
  • Cite relevant and up-to-date references using APA style.
  1. METHODS
  • Describe the research object, approach, data sources, and methods of data collection and analysis (Creswell, 2014).
  1. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
  • Present findings supported by tables, figures, and analysis.
  • Discuss their theoretical significance and relation to prior studies.
  1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT (optional)
  • To acknowledge funding bodies, institutions, or individuals contributing to the study.
  1. CONCLUSION
  • Summarize key findings, academic contributions, limitations, and suggestions for further research.
  1. REFERENCES
  • Include only cited works, at least 15 references, of which 80% must be journal articles published within the last 5 years.

Figures and Tables

  1. All figures and tables must be referred to in the text (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
  2. Table titles appear above the table; figure titles appear below the figure.
  3. Use Palatino Linotype, 11 pt, Bold for titles.
  4. Only horizontal lines should appear in tables.
  5. Figures must be high resolution (≥220 dpi) and legible in grayscale print.

Citations and References

  1. The journal uses the APA (American Psychological Association) 6th edition citation style.
  2. It is recommended to use a reference management tool, such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote, to ensure consistency.
  3. Examples of in-text citation:
  • Single author: (Kamba, 2018)
  • Two authors: (Hidayat & Khalika, 2019)
  • More than two authors: (Marchlewska et al., 2019)
