Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of sociometry in developing emotional intelligence programs for senior high school students. Sociometry is used as a tool to identify patterns of social relationships, levels of social acceptance, and interactions among students within a group. Through data obtained from sociometric assessments, teachers and school counselors can gain a deeper understanding of students’ social conditions and design emotional intelligence development programs that meet their needs. These programs are intended to improve students’ abilities to recognize and manage their emotions, develop empathy, build positive interpersonal relationships, and enhance their social skills. The findings indicate that the use of sociometry provides accurate information about students’ social dynamics and can serve as a basis for designing more effective and targeted emotional intelligence programs. Therefore, sociometry plays an important role in supporting the development of students’ emotional intelligence and creating a harmonious and conducive learning environment at school.
