Peer Review Process
Junela Conseils: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity of every manuscript submitted for publication.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial editorial screening to determine their suitability with the journal's focus and scope, adherence to the author guidelines, academic quality, and compliance with publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the initial screening stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several aspects, including:
· originality and novelty of the manuscript;
· relevance to the journal's focus and scope;
· clarity and consistency of the research objectives;
· appropriateness of the research methodology;
· quality and adequacy of data analysis;
· coherence and depth of discussion;
· contribution to the development of knowledge and professional practice;
· accuracy and relevance of references; and
· clarity and academic quality of the manuscript.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief and/or Editorial Board makes the final editorial decision, which may include acceptance, acceptance with minor revisions, revision and resubmission, or rejection. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers' comments and editorial recommendations.
When revisions are requested, authors are expected to submit a revised manuscript together with a response to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the journal's editorial team, taking into consideration the reviewers' recommendations, the manuscript's academic quality, and its relevance to the journal's scope.
The journal is committed to conducting the peer-review process in a fair, objective, transparent, confidential, and timely manner, while maintaining academic integrity and avoiding conflicts of interest.
